A SPECIAL PLACE.
Partners in Equestrian Therapy is dedicated to providing a superior therapeutic riding program for children and adults with disabilities through a team of certified instructors, trained staff, enthusiastic volunteers and gentle and willing horses. PET provides a safe and nurturing environment, encouraging individuals with special needs to improve their cognitive, physical and psychological abilities.
Partners in Equestrian therapy (P.E.T.) is a unique riding program located in Atascadero, California for children and adults with special needs. The P.E.T. program provides the student with the opportunity to increase physical skills, confidence and self esteem through equestrian therapy (therapeutic horse back riding).
In 2013, we started Veterans in Equestrian Therapy (VET) a specialty programs for US Veterans who have sustained injuries or suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as a result of their service. In collaboration with the Roy and Ida Eagle Foundation, Madonna Inn and the Veterans Outreach we provide an annual riding event for veterans. We also provide private lessons for veterans and their families at our Rancho del Rio location.
P.E.T. currently runs lessons, both group and individual, each week on Tuesday and Saturday. Appointments can also be made to accommodate special occasions or events. Each lesson includes arena riding and/or trail riding; hands on experience with horse tack, grooming for our hour long lessons.
We offer half hour lessons for $25, hour lessons for $50.
