EQUESTRIAN THERAPY

Equestrian therapy offers a person with a disability an excellent means of physical activity that aids in improving balance, posture, coordination, and most importantly, the development of a positive attitude and sense of accomplishment.

With horseback riding, the horse becomes the rider's equalizer and partner. The student and the horse work as a team, and the horse responds with emotion to the rider. The rider is mobile, towering and uplifted, both physically and psychologically.

In addition, students learn animal care, grooming and equipment use, which further encourages responsibility and participation
